Late Night Preparations - Janelle

The clock is ticking! Only 4 days until our first official fundraiser. Today, Afton and I cruised around looking for the best buys for decorations and tableware. We've got a few little surprises in store, but our night consisted of ribbons, rocks and Oreos (in retrospect we should have eaten a cookie that began in R...perhaps rainbow cookies?). We look forward to seeing your shining faces Thursday, November 10th at 7pm. Leela Eco Spa is easy to find; by train it's just two blocks north of the Memorial Train Station. Driving, you can find us just 2 minutes off Edmonton Trail in Bridgeland. Come out and enjoy some finger food, cake, and some great musical performances for only $5. We also have cheap wine and beer, along with pop and water for those who have to drive home. If anything, just stop in to check out some great silent auction items gratefully donated by local businesses! We've also got some door prizes, so your ticket automatically gets you in for a chance to win ;)

Minimal - Afton

Hey all, hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween! As for Janelle and I today was back to the grind, and by grind I mean running. I'm sure you have all been following along and have noticed both Janelle and I have delt with injuries as of late, so getting back at it takes a bit of extra hard work. Janelle herself seems to be doing well, but for myself I limped back to Tri-it, I sure do hope I get this fixed sooner rather then later! I had an x ray and that came out clean so the next step was to bug my chiropractor, Dr Conway started with my gait analysis to come up with answers. From the sounds of it I pretty much need to change everything I am doing, from my shoes to my muscles in my hips, It sounds like this is going to take a while so wish me luck! I will update you soon.
The chiropractor said minimalistic, but I don't think I'll be taking it this far!!!

Lost two - Janelle

Good Evening folks!
Afton and I ran our furthest yet, a whopping 10.5k in just over an hour. WOOHOO!! With the daylight hours getting shorter and shorter, our weekly running sessions are becoming a bit dangerous. As you may know, Afton tripped over a construction fence a couple weeks ago. It's hard to see where your feet will land. Not only is it hard to see your own feet, but we somehow managed to lose TWO runners tonight! First, it was Bob...he just ran ahead and never checked back. Second was Tibor, despite John's search and rescue attempt, we seemed to have went looking a little too late. All in all, aside from two men down, it was a good night! I even tried out my running gloves; I kept my digits all toasty.
Quick Auction Update!!!
We have our posters done, and we will be distributing fliers in the neighbourhood Thursday.
One more great auction item that was donated is a custom teeth whitening kit valued at $365! So come on down and put in a bid.
